Emergency Community Support Fund
We are so pleased to have partnered with Community Foundations of Canada and the Government of Canada to deliver the Government of Canada's Emergency Community Support Fund program. We awarded a total of $40,000 to 10 organizations who are assisting vulnerable populations during COVID-19:
Dauphin First United Church received $2,009 for meal support for vulnerable families and people (provided through Dauphin & District Community Food Bank and Under One Roof)
Waterhen Community Council received $5,500 for community food and supply hampers
Regional Connections received $6,000 for a laptop lending library for newcomers
CNIB received $2,100 for virtual programming addressing isolation
Dr. Gendreau Personal Care Home received $3,562 for outdoor visitation furniture
Dauphin & District Community Food Bank received $2,128 for freezers
Let's Talk Science received $5,933 for the Horizon Project (hands-on learning resources for children in Grades 4-6 in vulnerable demographics with no access to Internet, delivered through food banks)
Mountain View School Division received $6,009 to promote food security during COVID-19
Dauphin & District Community Food Bank received $1,759 for safe operations (installing shields and hand sanitizing stations)
Gilbert Plains Municipality received $5,000 for their Wish a Dish program which provides food support for vulnerable families, youth and seniors
